As students prepare for graduation and trade in their backpacks and books for business cards, recent graduate Bridget Martin has a message for those students: your education is not over.

Conan Shearer graduated with a W.—P.—Carey MBA and an MSIM degree, but he also learned to “speak” three languages: business, IT and supply chain management.

The numbers are compelling enough: 6,000 IT job opportunities posted on the Microsoft website alone, and another 11,063 from a quick search for “systems analyst” positions on Dice.com, a career site for the technology industry.

The venture capital industry has honored John Mumford, a founding partner in the Silicon Valley firm of Crosspoint Venture Partners, with its lifetime achievement award.

In his position as head of the procurement supply chain at BP, Dave Connor is responsible for managing a worldwide supply chain that operates in an environment of high risk. Recently, Connor was on campus for graduation, where the latest class of BP managers would receive the W. P.

Though Dell may be best known for its consumer technology products, the company has evolved into a preferred end-to-end solutions provider for enterprises around the world.

Sun Devil 100 celebrates the achievements of Sun Devil-owned and Sun Devil-led businesses across the globe. Continuing an incredible legacy of entrepreneurship and leadership, the majority of alums recognized this year are W. P. Carey graduates.
