Friendsgiving Round 2
This year’s Friendsgiving, W. P. Carey’s take on Thanksgiving, was the best yet (although to be perfectly honest it was only my second ever). Brian Clary was gracious enough to host the event at his house, with more than 50 first- and second-year students and their guests attending. For many it was their first Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving meal.
Similar to last year, Friendsgiving was a potluck, so everyone brought something homemade. I have never seen that much food in my life and everything was amazing. Cornbread, turkey, caprese salad, five different pies, chicken curry, mashed sweet potatoes… everything was delicious. I brought one of my favorite chick-pea dishes. It was definitely one of the best meals of my life.
It’s not only the food; I love the company and realize I have so many things to be thankful for. I’m so happy to be in a close-knit family-style MBA program. My family is literally 10,000 miles away and W. P. Carey does so much to make me feel like Tempe my home away from home.
