Making Connections

- RELAX! Being out of your comfort zone is good for you.
- Have plenty of business cards handy. If you don’t have any, get some! Vistaprint is a good website to design one and order a batch.
- Don’t be afraid to approach someone. Remember that they want to meet you too or else they wouldn’t be there.
- Don’t dismiss someone because they are not in the industry you are looking to get in. Like I said earlier, they might know someone who you could connect with.
- Most importantly, be sincere and remember that you are there to see what you can provide and how you can help the other person. Going in thinking that they should be offering you something is not the best first impression to make.
